I completed this digital composition about two years ago and have just updated it. When I viewed the original, it seemed to be out of balance. Now I have moved the flower and shifted the center of the image in order to improve the composition and balance. This was created from several pictures which have been layered in Photoshop. It was the first time I used Photoshop extensively for layering and composition and I remember spending many, many hours on it. Now, I could manage this in a relatively short time for the manipulation, but it would still taken a couple weeks to complete it as I recompose it and walk away several times for a day or two in order to gain fresh looks. I guess I could say for this edit I stepped back for two years.
I like the morning colors and the fisheye-curved horizon in this painterly edit of one of my photographs.
